Hack the Chain is a 24 hour hackathon focused on blockchain technologies. Whether it's your first or tenth time using blockchain, we'd love to have you join us for the weekend. We'll have workshops and mentors to help you learn, and mini-events to help you take a break. Looking forward to seeing what you build!

Hedera Hashgraph will reward the team which has the best use case leveraging the new Hedera Consensus Service, which can provide transparent, fair, decentralized ordering to any type of application. Each member of the winning team will receive a Nintendo Switch Lite.

Build a hardware hack with what you have at home or use emulators to simulate hardware for your hack. The best project will receive Raspberry Pi Starter Kits for each team member.

Best use of MongoDB Atlas
Create a hack using MongoDB Atlas to host a database in the cloud! Automate the provisioning and deployment process with ease, while focusing all your efforts on your hack. Projects built using MongoDB Atlas will be eligible to win an AirCharge Plus per team member.
Facebook Spark AR Sticker Challenge
Create an Instagram filter using Facebook's Spark AR. Winner of the category will have their filter published through the MLH Instagram Channel & Featured on Facebook's Spark AR Community Page.Winning stickers will get published through the MLH Instagram Channel & Featured on Facebook's Spark AR Community Page. This event open to hackers, all over the world, who are students at the time of the hackathon or who have graduated within the last 12 months. Students can include high school students, university undergraduate or postgraduate students, and people who are in vocational training such as apprenticeships.
